July 19, 2002 The National Association of Disability Examiners (NADE) reviewed with great interest all of the testimony presented by various witnesses appearing before the Subcommittee on Social Security in the U.S. House of Representatives on July 11, 2002. This hearing focused public and congressional attention on the definition of disability as it applies to Social Security’s disability programs. NADE submitted the attached letter, addressed to the Chairman of the Subcommittee, the Honorable Clay Shaw, as our Association’s statement for the record.
