Dear Mr. Spencer:
The National Association of Disability Examiners (NADE) is the professional association for Disability Determinations Service (DDS) employees. I have met with both the membership and leaders of this organization on several occasions and have been impressed with their insight and professional approach as we work together to provide world class service to our disabled citizens. NADE sponsors annual training conferences at the state, regional and national level. I have had the opportunity to attend several of these conferences and have been impressed with the quality of the training sessions provided. Sessions at recent conferences have focused on disability redesign issues, medical sessions on a variety of topics, legislative updates and the impact of current legislation on the disability program. The Social Security Administration has long recognized the many benefits to be gained from training. I hope you will consider NADE Conferences as a training resource that you can use. If you would like more information about the state or regional conferences in your area, or NADE’s national conferences please contact Susan LaMorte, NADE’s President at (201) 648-7874. Having access to training and opportunity to develop professional colleagueship is so important to creating and maintaining a high quality workforce.
Sincerely,
Susan M. Daniels, Ph.D.
Associate Commissioner for Disability
