The Honorable Kenneth S. Apfel,
Commissioner
Social Security Administration
500 E Street, S.W.
Washington, D. C. 20254
Dear Mr. Apfel:
On behalf of the National Association of Disability Examiners (NADE), I would like to express our sincere appreciation to you for taking the time to meet with our Association’s President-elect, Legislative Chairperson, and myself earlier this month. It is as much a great honor and privilege for me personally and professionally as it is a great honor and privilege for our professional association to have had this opportunity. NADE is firmly committed to supporting your efforts to maintain and enhance the public’s confidence in the disability program.
NADE is very much appreciative of your consideration of our concerns and the issues that we discussed during this meeting. We look forward to working with you to address these issues in the future. As we approach the October 1 date for the expected launch of the prototype of the new disability claims process, please remember that NADE shares in your commitment to maintaining program integrity and insuring that the right decision is made as quickly as possible.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey H. Price NADE President
National Association of Disability Examiners
