NADE Networks With DDS Administrators

DDS ADMINISTRATORS ATTENDING THE ANNUAL training conference in Portland shared a working breakfast with NADE Board members on Wednesday morning. Coming from diverse geographical areas and leading DDSs of various sizes, the Administrators, nevertheless, expressed common concerns, concerns also shared by the NADE Board and the membership at large. The group discussed such issues as the Early Decision List and the interactive training initiative being planned by SSA.

Enhanced communications between NCDDD and NADE is one goal for the upcoming NADE year. The consensus of those present at the breakfast was that open sharing of information between NCDDD and NADE is more crucial in the current atmosphere than ever before, as is speaking with a united voice in representing concern about the Disability Program. The two organizations agreed to share information and positions and also plan to schedule more frequent joint meetings involving the respective Boards of Directors.
