TennesseeChapter Plans An Active Year
by Tom Fussell, TADE President
ON AUGUST 27, 1999, THE Tennessee Association of Disability Examiners held an election to choose the 1999-2000 TADE officers. They are Tom Fussell - President; Elizabeth Pogue - President Elect; Brenda Spinner - Secretary; John Weatherly - Treasurer; Deardra Bryant-Hollie - Parliamentarian; Tom Johns - Regional Board; and Dan Cameron - Board.
In addition to our quarterly meetings, the TADE membership is involved in many exciting events such as community service projects, our annual DDS awards banquet and cruise in October, presentations to new training classes, membership drives, fund raisers, certification of all eligible TADE members, publishing our newsletter Music City Notes, providing hospitality for visiting dignitaries, and NADE Regional and National Conferences.
We are in the beginning stages of planning the 2001 Southeast Regional Conference that will be held right here in Nashville, Tennessee. Sharon Summers, Regional President-Elect, has selected a hotel for the conference and committees are being formed. We look forward to having a successful and memorable conference.
TADE members are excited about our growth, our involvement in many activities and projects and the opportunity we have to make this another rewarding year.
