Come to Heaven in '97
by Lee Ann Tramontin, Kentucky DDS
DO YOU EVER FEEL THE need to get away from it
all? Then come to heaven in 97! The 1997 NADE National Conference will
be held in Louisville, Kentucky. While the conference officially begins
on Monday, November 2, we urge you to join us early to enjoy the beautiful
sights and sounds of Kentucky. On Sunday, November 1, we will be living
it up at Churchill Downs. This is the start of the fall meet, and we will
be spending the day placing bets on the fast horses, dining on Kentucky
cuisine, and spending time with old and new NADE friends. On Monday, November
2, we will be taking a tour of the Central Kentucky/Bluegrass area. Some
of the stops include historical downtown Frankfort, a horse farm, and a
distillery. The training sessions begin on Tuesday, November 3. Look forward
to lots of breakout sessions! We plan to have something for everyone! On
Thursday evening, November 5, pull out your poodle skirts, leather jackets,
and saddle oxfords, because we will be revisiting “American Bandstand 1957.”
Activities will include dance contests, hula-hoop contests, and a few extra
surprises! The conference will be held in the world-famous Seelbach Hotel
in downtown Louisville. The turn-of-the-century guest rooms will offer
you all of the charm of a bygone era, while enjoying all of the amenities.
Kentucky looks forward to showing you our Southern hospitality! If you
have any questions about Kentucky or the 1997 National Conference, feel
free to contact Bob Dean or Lee Ann Tramontin at 502-564-8050. Make plans
now to “Come to Heaven in 97!”
