Anne Graham for Secretary
I am running again on the “Graham Cracker Ticket” for the position of secretary for the National Association of Disability Examiners (NADE). For almost 20 years I have been involved in NADE, holding a variety of offices on the local and regional level, including eight years as Mid-Atlantic Regional President immediately before I was first elected national secretary in 1994. I am particularly desirous of serving on the board during the upcoming presidency of my good friend, Susan LaMorte.
As a Federal employee at Social Security headquarters in Baltimore, I believe I have a unique perspective to provide to the NADE Board at a time when so many changes are occurring--adjudication officer, single decision maker, disability claims manager, etc. However, I have also worked in the Maryland DDS so I am aware of the concerns of DDS empolyees during these uncertain times.
Any NADE member who is going to the Chicago National Training Conference (and, according to Al Kamnick, it is not too early to make your hotel reservations) can have a free crash course on NADE by sitting in on a board meeting for a while. Everyone is welcome and non-board members can put in their two-cents-worth during the meeting if they wish. In my opinion, the best way to see what our professional organization is all about is to see our leadership in action. I am committed to this organization and am continually impressed and challenged by the hard work of our current president, Larry DeVantier, and the other board members. Please permit me to continue working with them by giving me your vote at the election in Chicago.
