NADE’s Legislative Network

ONE OF NADE'S STRENGTHS, ESPECIALLY in the legislative area, is our national, grass roots organizational structure. The Regional Legislative Committee members serve as a conduit to the state Chapters, providing information and obtaining input on legislative issues. While NADE can, and does, deal with these issues and make contacts with Legislators and Congressional staffers on a national level our effectiveness comes from the contacts members make with their own Senators and Representatives. Time frames for preparing testimony or position papers are often very short. By having our network and system of communication already in place we are in a better position to provide a response which accurately represents the views of our members.
