ESADE To Host Bi-Regional Conference

ESADE WILL BE THE HOST for the 1998 Bi-regional Northeast/Mid-Atlantic NADE conference to be held June 9-12, 1998, at the Desmond Americana in Albany, New York. The conference will include speakers from the National Association of Disability Examiners, the Social Security Administration and from the medical community. A number of social events are also being planned. Among the speakers confirmed for the program are SSA Associate Commissioner Susan Daniels, Inspector General David C. Williams and SSA New York Regional Commissioner Beatrice M. Disman. Among the conference topics are Disability Process Redesign, the Fraud Investigation Pilot, and “Achieving World Class Quality”. There will also be a number of lectures on medical topics, for which continuing medical education (CME) credits will be offered. A number of NADE officials, among them President Debi Gardiner, Past-President Susan LaMorte, and President-Elect Jeff Price, have indicated that they plan to attend. The conference registration is $80.00 and open to all Divisions of Disability Determination staff. The Desmond Americana is offering a special rate of $96.00 a night for up to four persons per room for those needing overnight accommodations. Among the social events being planned are a riverboat cruise and a trolley tour. More information will be provided in the next few months.
