Hello, I am Jane Bradley from Illinois. I am announcing my candidacy for Chair of the Council of Chapter Presidents.

I have been with the Illinois DDS since April 1985, where I started as a Trainee and Adjudicator I doing initial cases. Currently I am an Adjudicator II, processing initial, reconsideration and CDR claims. When the boss is out of the office, I rotate in as supervisor. As an Adjudicator I, I mentored a trainee who still calls for advice and calls me, “teach.” Currently, I have mentored the last two trainees who came into our unit.

I have been an active member since I first joined NADE in 1989. My NADE involvement was guaranteed after attending the National Training conference in Springfield Illinois that same year. I accepted a one-year board position on our local IADE Chapter. In addition to becoming active in local chapter events, my involvement included serving as secretary/treasurer, president-elect and president, while serving on the Regional Board also. I have been vice president of the Great Lakes Region and for the last four years served as the President of the Great Lakes Region. While President of our region, I organized a group to travel to Indiana in an attempt to reactivate their chapter. The Indiana chapter held meetings and reactivated for a couple of years, even sending representatives to Regional and National Conferences. I periodically call and keep in touch with them. For the last several years, I have also served on the National Publications Committee.
