Dean Crawford
Council of Chapter Presidents Chairman
I would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for re-election as NADE’s Council of Chapter Presidents(CCP) Chairperson for 2000-2001. It has been my honor and privilege to serve NADE members in this position for two consecutive terms beginning in 1998. In my tenure as CCP Chair, it has become more evident exactly how much impact NADE has nationally. Congress and SSA regularly ask NADE for our opinions and for input on many different issues that impact the Social Security Disability process and our jobs. The only way NADE can do this effectively is by communication with our members. Communication has been my number one goal for the last two years and will continue to be. To accomplish this goal, I have established regular communication with all NADE chapters and contact persons. I have sent out bimonthly mailings with information from the NADE Board, several NADE committees, and the NADE President. I have provided NADE members with up to date information about SSA’s policies and regulations, legislative issues, and NADE business. This has also given NADE members a chance to have their voice heard by responding to solicitations on various issues. It is only through frequent and timely communication with the membership that your ideas and concerns can be conveyed. I have worked diligently to fulfill the charges given me by the NADE President and the NADE Board. I fully expect all charges to be completed by the time NADE’s annual conference is held this year in Puerto Rico. It is because of your dedication and commitment that NADE’s voice has become so strong. I will strive to keep the lines of communication open and flowing freely so your views and concerns can be expressed. I promise to serve NADE as CCP Chair with the same dedication and commitment shown by our membership. In order to accomplish this goal, I need and would appreciate your support.
